Our joint large-scale reaction prevented the abolishment of the neuter and return method from the Act.   BULGARIA HAS AN ANIMAL PROTECTION ACT NOW! providing for the ‘trap-neuter-return’ method   Bad news is ‘temporary enclosures’ have been left as provision: this more sophisticated form of isolators, gives power to local authorities to simulate activity at the expense of taxpayers and stray dogs by draining unsanctionedly public funds. Catching teams will remove dogs from their sites of living in order to pack them in ‘wire-fence enclosures in the middle of nowhere’ with no option of return, while our streets will be flooded by ever-coming animals doomed to provide the municipalities with new lines of financing.    Due to AFA-Bulgaria and MP’s from ruling majority at the very last minute the Parliament empowered the animal protection NGO’s to monitor and control the activity of the ‘temporary enclosures’. At the first signs of restoration of the old corruption scheme, the NGO’s will insist on the abolition of the ‘temporary enclosures’ as an alternative method, so that the approved its efficacy TNR method be applied nationwide.      THEN WE WILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT AGAIN!
